When used with the Veritas MKII sharpening system (ref.05M0901), simply replace the flat roller of the system with the curved profile roller of the "Roller Camber".

The Veritas 05M0905 camber roller is an accessory designed to complement the MK II sharpening system. It replaces the standard guide roller to automatically create a slight radius of curvature on the blade edge during sharpening.

This camber is particularly desirable for plane blades, as it prevents the edges of the blade from marking the wood and allows for a smoother, more gradual cut. The cutting edge is therefore not perfectly straight, but very slightly rounded, which improves the quality of the finish and makes adjusting the plane easier.
