The Series D planes are versatile shaping tools designed for carpenters, cabinetmakers, and woodworkers who seek fine control of the material while maintaining great robustness. Inspired by the same design principles as Gaignard-Millon's Series D planes, these planes combine a robust cast steel body, comfortable natural beechwood handles, and brass adjustment elements for precise adjustments.

The 3 mm thick, hardened SK4 steel blade (64 HRC) significantly reduces vibration and allows for smoother, more consistent cutting action without "chattering," even on difficult woods. The beveled chipbreaker increases the contact area with the blade, improving pressure for a cleaner cut.

Two variations are proposed to optimize shaping depending on the shapes to be worked:
- Round sole: ideal for working on curved surfaces, concave or convex curves, in modeling or finishing.
- Flat sole: suitable for flat surfaces, for removing or smoothing material in a regular manner.
