The 4.7mm thick, upward-beveled blade is as wide as the plane body (57mm), providing clean, precise cuts in the corners of rabbets, both left and right. The 15° blade angle, combined with its 25° bevel, gives an effective cutting angle of 40°. Additionally, a grain scorer is located at the front of the blade, on either side of the jack. This reduces fiber tear-out when working against the grain.
The cutting depth and the projection of the scoring blades are adjustable. Furthermore, the scoring blades are fully recessed into the body of the rasp to work with the grain or to prevent accidentally notching the workpiece. The removable 190mm long guide attaches to the rasp using two steel rods with brass locking knobs. The distance between the guide and the shoulder of the rabbet can be up to 130mm. It also has holes for attaching an auxiliary wooden guide. The rasp handle tilts and locks on either side of the tool to clear joints.
