The Auriou rat-tail rasp is a traditional, high-precision tool designed for working internal shapes. Its tapered cylindrical profile allows it to work where flat or half-round rasps cannot reach: holes, recesses, internal angles, curve joints, or rounded mortises.

Each rasp is hand-stitched according to Auriou's time-honored expertise, guaranteeing a unique tooth geometry that delivers a clean, progressive, and long-lasting cut. Unlike industrial rasps, hand-stitching allows for greater control and a cleaner surface, simplifying the finishing stages.
