This Veritas No. 4 bench plane is designed to make planing both precise and enjoyable. It stands out thanks to its wide bubinga wood handles and, above all, a special chipbreaker developed by Veritas, which is said to completely eliminate blade vibrations during use. The result: a more consistent cut and better control, even on hardwoods or woods with a particularly difficult grain.

The side adjustment screws ensure a firm hold on the blade. They limit any movement or slippage of the blade during roughing work, or when working more with one side of the blade. A high-end plane, designed to combine comfort, rigidity, and precision.
