Diamond stones must be kept constantly wet with water during use.

Initial sharpening (medium/coarse grit) of hand tools and knives.
Planing of plane soles and dressing of chisels.
Straightening of classic stone surfaces before use.
Fine sharpening (fine grit) to obtain a smooth and durable cutting edge.
Use on hard steels (HSS, high-speed steel, light carbide) thanks to the diamond abrasive.

Instructions for use:
- Soak the stone in water and keep it wet throughout the entire operation.
- Work with regular and light movements to avoid premature wear.
- Clean the stone after use to remove metallic residues.
- Store flat to preserve flatness and avoid any deformation.

DuoSharp abrasive stones are manufactured by DMT (Diamond Machining Technology), a leading American company in industrial diamond abrasives. They consist of single-crystal diamonds bonded to a metal plate. This process makes these stones exceptionally abrasive, durable, and wear-resistant, with a surface that remains flat and usable over extended periods, even on very hard steels (high-speed steel, HSS, carbide).

Each variant has two faces with different grains:
- Medium grit / fine grit (for general sharpening with a smooth finish), available in 203 and 250mm
- coarse grit / medium grit (for faster material removal followed by standard sharpening), available in 203mm only.

The rigid sandwich construction ensures that both faces remain perfectly flat, guaranteeing consistent results without stone deformation during use. Diamond sharpening is particularly effective for flattening plane soles, dressing scissors, and straightening surfaces before use on conventional whetstones, as well as for routine maintenance of knives, hand tools, or machine tools.

Important: These stones must be kept continuously wet with water during use to optimize abrasion and prevent overheating.
