Pierre Arkansas multifaceted
Used for finishing the sharpening of woodcarving tools, these stones feature a beveled edge for sharpening V-shaped tools (chisels) and a rounded edge for sharpening gouges. Furthermore, their conical profile makes them suitable for both small and large tools. Natural Arkansas stones are dense, fine-grained, and designed for finishing sharpening. Generally used with a light oil (such as camellia oil), they are certainly less abrasive than Japanese stones of a similar grit, but much more resistant to wear. The Arkansas stones we offer are natural and may therefore have slight irregularities in appearance, without affecting their use. These stones originate from the Ouachita Mountains in the United States. Very fine grit (6000-8000). Arkansas stones are of natural origin and, as such, may have an irregular appearance (small spots or veins of color). These slight imperfections do not affect their use and therefore do not represent a quality defect.
