The Japanese SJ-250 grinding wheel is a very high-precision finishing wheel designed for large-format Tormek sharpeners. With its extremely fine grit (≈ 4000), it is used in the very last stage of sharpening to achieve a razor-sharp edge and impeccable surface quality.

It removes very little material, which helps preserve the geometry of the tools while significantly improving cutting quality and edge retention. The SJ-250 is particularly appreciated for tools requiring a perfect finish, where the sharpness of the edge directly impacts the precision of the work.

Used after an SG or diamond grinding wheel, it provides a consistent, regular and reproducible professional finish.
