The Blackstone SB-250 grinding wheel is specially developed for sharpening difficult and high-alloy steels, where standard wheels reach their limits. Designed for use with Tormek 250 mm sharpeners, it offers high material removal rates while maintaining excellent edge control.

Its specific composition allows for efficient sharpening of high-speed steels (HSS), high-alloy steels, and very hard tools. Like the SG-250, the SB-250 is adjustable in grit using the Tormek adjuster: it can be used with a coarse grit (≈220) for quick rework or with a finer grit (≈1000) for controlled sharpening before finishing.
