Sharpening of Japanese saws (Kataba, Ryoba, Dozuki…), especially to reach the fine teeth.

Interview :
- Clean the file after use: remove filings and metal debris to preserve cutting quality.
- Store away from moisture to limit oxidation of the steel, even when hardened.
- Check the condition of the handle if fitted, and replace or maintain the wood if necessary.

The Japanese sharpening file for Japanese saws is specially designed to reach and sharpen the very fine teeth of traditional Japanese saws (Kataba, Ryoba, Dozuki…), which require a tool capable of penetrating deep into narrow points and interstices.

This file has a diamond-shaped section with an extremely tapered profile, which allows access to angles and interdental spaces with great precision, without "breaking" the sharpening edge, thanks to its single-cut (non-cross) design.

The tool is forged in Japan from very hard steel tempered to approximately 67 HRC, ensuring excellent cutting performance and edge durability when sharpening saw blades.

Each file comes with an unmounted beechwood handle, offering the possibility to adjust or mount it according to your workshop usage preferences.
