Compatible with Kataba 250 saws (712817 and 712818)

Tooth direction of the grain: edging, longitudinal cutting, preparation of long pieces.
Cross-grain teeth: cross cuts, crosscuts, light miter cuts.
Replace the blade as soon as the cut becomes less clean or the teeth become dull.

Kataba 250mm blades are replacement blades for backless Kataba Japanese saws, specially designed to extend the life of your tool and optimize your cuts. The Kataba saw is renowned for its pull-cutting action, which allows for a cleaner and more efficient cut than with a traditional push saw.


This series offers two tooth configurations depending on the type of cut you wish to make:
- Grain-oriented teeth – developed for longitudinal cuts (along the grain), ideal for ripping, workpiece preparation or the beginning of machining where a regular cut along the wood is required.
- Through-grain teeth – designed for cuts perpendicular to the wood grain, such as crosscuts, crosscuts or simple bevel cuts.

Each type of tooth is hardened/prepared to offer a good compromise between cutting speed and clean cut, while remaining compatible with standard Kataba saws.

The choice between the two variants depends on your preferred cutting direction: longitudinal or transverse. This allows you to optimize quality, speed, and ease of use according to the needs of the job site or workshop.
