Stone 800 / 1000: basic sharpening of dull blades.
Pierre 4000: fine sharpening for knives and hand tools.
Pierre 6000: smooth finish and preparation for polishing.
Pierre 8000: very fine finish for polished cutting surfaces.
These stones also function as preparation before polishing and allow you to obtain a durable and sharp edge, regardless of the tool or type of steel (canonical or European).

Instructions for use:
- Immerse the stone in water for 5–10 minutes before use to saturate it.
- Keep the stone wet during sharpening to obtain an effective abrasive slurry.
- Work with regular movements over the entire surface of the stone for even abrasion.
- Repair with dry sandpaper if the surface wears unevenly.
- Clean and dry after use to avoid the accumulation of dried mud.

King Japanese sharpening stones are among the essential references. Their open-grain structure and abrasive made from purified metal oxides, bonded with a resin or ceramic binder depending on the model, allow for efficient and controlled material removal.

They are suitable for both Japanese tools (high hardness carbon steel) and European blades.

Before use, the stone must be immersed in water for a few minutes to ensure it is fully saturated. Sharpening is done exclusively with water.

If necessary, the surface can be rectified by rubbing the dry stone on abrasive paper placed on a perfectly flat surface (thick glass plate or machine table).

The different sizes and grits allow for a classic sharpening progression — from significant material removal to a very fine finish:
- 800: coarse intermediate sharpening.
- 1000: standard sharpening.
- 4000: fine sharpening.
- 6000: smooth finish.
- 8000: very fine finish / polishing.

These stones are suitable for a wide variety of tools: kitchen knives, wood chisels, plane irons, gouges, cabinetmaking and carving tools.
