Usage & Maintenance

Ultra-fine details: very narrow variants (1-5 mm) ideal for delicate areas and finishes.
Moderate material removal: sizes 10 – 20 mm for intermediate surfaces or sculpted transitions.
Larger volumes: sizes 22 – 35 mm suitable for open shapes and more substantial material clearances.
Large surfaces / large clearances: large sizes 40 – 50 mm for roughing and heavy work.
Suitable for sculptors, cabinetmakers and woodworkers working on technical or artistic pieces.

Product care instructions:
- Cleaning: after each use, remove shavings and dust to preserve the cutting edge.
- Dry thoroughly: avoid prolonged humidity to limit corrosion of the steel.
- Sharpening: even though factory sharpened, this gouge can be sharpened; use water stones or suitable abrasives to maintain an optimal edge without altering the original geometry.
- Handle maintenance: if the handle is made of wood, occasionally apply wood oil or wax to preserve comfort and durability.
- Storage: Keep the tool in a dry place or under protection to prevent oxidation of the cutting edges.
