Product care instructions:
- Cleaning after use: wipe the blade to remove shavings and dust.
- Dry thoroughly: avoid prolonged humidity to limit oxidation of the metal.
- Sharpening: although delivered sharpened at the factory, these clasps can be sharpened — use suitable water stones or abrasives to maintain a sharp edge, respecting the angle of the double bevel.
- Handle and body: if the gouge has a wooden handle, occasionally apply wood oil or wax to preserve the natural appearance and durability.
- Store in a dry place: the tool is best preserved when protected from dust and moisture.
