Additional information

The 42mm serrated plane iron is a hand tool designed for working wood surfaces before gluing or finishing. Its serrated blade (unlike the smooth blade of a traditional plane iron) is used to scrape away old glue residue and, more importantly, to lightly roughen the wood surface. This even roughening increases the actual contact area and promotes better adhesion when gluing veneers, marquetry, or other wood coverings.

Made from forged and hardened steel, this cutter is designed for increased durability and longer tooth edge retention than an untreated cutter. Its 42 mm width provides ample surface work capacity while remaining maneuverable for more precise work.
