The 12" Gransfors Bruks log splitter is a tool dedicated to splitting wood where mass and geometry take precedence over cutting performance. Hand-forged by Gransfors Bruks, it is made of high-carbon steel, extensively forged and then hardened to 57 HRC, guaranteeing excellent impact resistance and a long lifespan.

Its wide, thick blade is designed to effectively separate wood fibers rather than slice through them, making it easier to split dense or knotty logs. The long hickory handle, of American origin, ensures optimal power transmission and good stability during powerful blows.

Each cleaver is stamped with the initials of the master blacksmith and delivered ready to use with a leather cover, guaranteeing artisanal quality and safety.
