The Japanese liquid ink marking cord (Sumitsubo) 15 is a traditional woodworking marking tool, inspired by the model used for centuries by Japanese carpenters and artisans. Unlike a conventional powdered cord, the Sumitsubo uses a thread soaked in liquid ink, which leaves a clean, precise, and lasting line on the surface being marked.
The tool features an automatic wire return, which facilitates unwinding and rewinding after each stroke, and it comes with a belt case for transport and quick access in the workshop or on the job site.

The maximum tracing length is approximately 15 meters, sufficient for many cabinetmaking, carpentry, or joinery projects. The end of the wire is equipped with a metal point, allowing you to mark the starting point of the tracing before unwinding the ink-soaked wire.
