5 different shapes for finishing the sharpening of carving or engraving tools (gouges, burins, chisels). Arkansas natural stones are dense, fine-grained, and designed for finishing sharpening. Generally used with a light oil (such as camellia oil), they are certainly less abrasive than Japanese stones of equivalent grit, but much more resistant to wear. The Arkansas stones we offer are natural stones and may, as such, have slight irregularities in appearance, without affecting their use. These stones originate from the Ouachita Mountains in the United States. Very fine grit (6000-8000).
