Additional information

The Burasu Higonokami is a traditional Japanese folding knife that is part of the Higonokami lineage, popular for over a century as a simple and effective pocket tool.
The 70mm blade is hand-forged, with a shape inspired by the Japanese sword, from high-quality carbon steel ("blue paper steel"). This material gives the edge excellent cutting ability and great durability while remaining fairly easy to sharpen.

The unique feature of the Higonokami is that it does not have a conventional locking mechanism. The blade is opened and held securely by a forged lever located on the top of the blade, which also acts as a guard against accidental closure.

The forging marks left on the surface of the blade are intentional: they constitute a signature of the blacksmith, giving each knife an authentic handcrafted character.

The Burasu Higonokami comes with a leather case, a protective case and convenient carrying case.
