These Japanese Oire Nomi scissors are intended for craftsmen looking for high-end blades, forged according to Japanese tradition.

The blades are entirely hand-forged. The lengthy forging process allows the steel molecules to be tightly packed and their structure to be aligned in the same direction. This results in a very dense steel, capable of producing an exceptionally fine edge and excellent cutting durability.

Each chisel is made of 2-ply rolled steel, with a high carbon cutting edge.
Hardness: 62 HRC

The scissors are perfectly pre-sharpened in the workshop. However, it is recommended to finalize the sharpening on a water stone (preferably Japanese) to reveal their full cutting potential.

The handles are made of Japanese red oak, a very hard wood, and are equipped with a steel reinforcement ferrule.
