The Veritas DX60 is not just a palm plane: it's an advanced precision tool, designed for moments when every shaving counts. It excels where conventional planes reach their limits: final adjustments, visible finishes, difficult woods, or delicate areas.

Its low-angle (bevel-up) design allows for a smoother, more controlled cut, particularly effective on grain-oriented wood, wavy wood, or stubborn fibers. Combined with a very fine adjustable mouth, this geometry allows for extremely thin chips, without tear-out, even in finishing.

The PM-V11 blade, an exclusive steel developed by Veritas, plays a central role:
It retains its edge significantly longer than carbon or A2 steel, while remaining pleasant to sharpen. This makes the DX60 a plane that can be used frequently—and for extended periods—without any loss of performance.
