Tip: The flatness of the surface of Japanese stones can easily be corrected either by rubbing a stone on a coarse diamond plate or another stone with a coarser grit than the one being straightened, or by using the Japanese abrasive straightening mat sold on the website

Product care instructions:
- Immerse the stone before use: leave it in water for several minutes for controlled abrasion.
- Clean after use: rinse the stone and wipe off excess water before storing.
- Store away from excessive moisture: dry thoroughly to avoid any deterioration of the support or the formation of deposits.
- Flatness correction: if hollows appear over time, correct with a coarse diamond plate or another more abrasive stone.

Yasunari sharpening stones are a range of double-sided Japanese water stones ideal for sharpening your cutting tools — whether knives, woodworking tools, saw blades or other metal tools.

Each stone has two different grits (side 1 / side 2), allowing you to start sharpening with a coarser grit to remove material or quickly restore an angle to a blade, then switch to the finer grit to polish and finalize the edge.

These stones are worked with water: simply immerse them for a few minutes before use to activate the abrasion and prevent damage to the steel. They are particularly useful for successive sharpenings—straightening, honing, finishing—without needing multiple stones.

The 185 x 60 mm size and 27 mm thickness provide a comfortable surface for large knife and tool handles. Furthermore, each stone comes with a non-slip base that ensures good stability during sharpening.
