This natural sharpening stone, originating from Ariège, is a schistous sandstone renowned for its fineness and mineralogical purity. Extracted using traditional methods and still hand-cut in the south of France, it guarantees consistent quality and excellent sharpening control.

Its soft, fine grit (1500–2000) allows for precise and controlled sharpening, perfectly suited to demanding gouges and cutting tools. It is also suitable for hard steels, including high-speed steel (HSS). Usable with water or oil (Kerdane), it adapts to each user's preferences.

Available in two thicknesses, it meets both regular maintenance needs and more intensive sharpening requirements.
