The Shinwa JIS Japanese tape measure is a quality measuring tool, conforming to Japanese JIS standards, designed for reliable marking and measurement in various contexts: carpentry, framing, layout, DIY or construction site.

The metal tape measure—available in 19 mm × 5.5 m or 25 mm × 5.5 m—is made of carbon steel, ensuring durability and stable reading of the graduations. These graduations are present on both sides of the tape, improving readability regardless of the measuring angle, with a vertical scale on the underside for convenient use when marking points.

The robust ABS (resistant plastic) housing incorporates a damped rewinding mechanism, complemented by an effective brake to control the smooth unwinding of the tape, thus protecting the mechanism from wear. The metal piece attached to the end of the tape is made of stainless steel and incorporates an automatic measurement correction system depending on whether the measurement is inside or outside (dimension transfer).

The measuring tape also comes with a hanging hook and belt clip, making it easy to carry or hang when used frequently in various postures.

In addition, the optional MAG-LOCK magnetic attachment is a practical accessory that attaches to the belt or directly to metal elements on the construction site, allowing the tape measure to be kept within easy reach without being bulky.
