The Gransfors Bruks splitting maul is designed for splitting firewood, where mass, geometry, and reliability take precedence over a precise cut. Hand-forged by Gransfors Bruks, it is made of high-carbon steel, extensively worked and then hardened to 57 HRC to offer excellent impact and wear resistance.

Its heavy, flared head is specifically designed to separate the wood fibers after impact, facilitating splitting even thick or knotty logs. The long hickory handle, of American origin, ensures optimal energy transmission while offering good shock absorption.

Each sledgehammer is marked with the initials of the blacksmith who shaped it and delivered ready to use with a leather cover, guaranteeing safety and durability.
