Instructions for use:
- Immerse the stone in water for a few minutes before use so that it is well soaked.

The King 1000/6000 stone is a reconstituted Japanese sharpening stone combining two abrasive zones of different grain sizes: 1000 grit for intermediate sharpening, and 6000 grit for fineness and finishing of the edge.
Its open-grain structure with an abrasive made from purified metal oxides bonded together promotes consistent and effective abrasion. It is suitable for most tools and knives, whether of Japanese or European origin.

Before use, the stone must be immersed in water for a few minutes so that it is well saturated with water, which allows the formation of an abrasive slurry on the surface and ensures proper action of the grains.

If the surface wears unevenly over time, it can be dry-ground by rubbing it on abrasive paper placed on a very flat surface (for example, a thick glass plate or a machine table).
