The Guillaume Luban plane (formerly the D series) is a precision hand plane distinguished by its narrow sole and blade, making it ideal for working in tight spaces or on delicate details. Whether planing fine rabbets, refining tenon shoulders, or perfecting the surface of a joint, this plane offers remarkable control.

The frame is made of stabilized cast iron, less prone to deformation over time, with a ground and polished sole to optimize glide and cutting consistency. The blade, made of high-hardness (61HRc) SK4 steel, is thick enough to dampen vibrations, ensuring a very even cut and perfectly smooth surfaces after use.
