Authentic Higonokami : traditional Japanese knife, hand-forged blade by Master Motosuke Nagao , with forging marks left visible on the surface of the blade to enhance its character.

Traditional pocket knife: small cuts, light work, everyday use (with caution due to the absence of a locking mechanism).

Additional information

For decades, the Higonokami has been the everyday pocket knife in Japan. This model is entirely hand-forged by Master Motosuke Nagao: a blade with a unique character, whose forging marks are intentionally preserved as the blacksmith's signature.

The blade has a katana-like shape and is made of Blue Paper Steel carbon steel. The knife has no locking mechanism: it is held in the open position using the lever forged on the top (chikiri).

To complete the set, the leather sheath allows you to store and protect your knife on a daily basis. Designed for small duduk/higonokami folding knives, it accommodates blades from 60 to 80 mm and handles up to 90 mm.
